Python 3.10+ · Codex or Claude Code

Install Ticketly once. Plan from any project folder.

Ticketly uses your existing coding-agent session. It does not require a separate Ticketly API key.

Package
ticketly 1.2.1 on PyPI
Recommended
pipx for an isolated global install
Agents
Codex, Claude Code, or both

Step 1

Install from PyPI

pipx is recommended because it keeps Ticketly isolated while making the command available from any folder.

Recommended
pipx install ticketly

Using pip instead

Alternative
pip install ticketly

Step 2

Connect the coding agent you use

Choose one agent or install both. The integrations do not conflict.

Choose one
ticketly install codex
ticketly install claude
ticketly install all
Not sure which command?

Use ticketly install all. It prepares both integrations and you can use whichever coding agent you open.

Step 3

Verify the installation

Check
ticketly home

This prints the local Ticketly engine path. You can now open a blank folder for a new product or an existing repository for a later release.

Keep current

Update Ticketly

pipx
pipx upgrade ticketly

If you installed with pip, use pip install -U ticketly instead.

Data handling

Understand which part runs locally

Ticketly's deterministic validation and export engine runs locally and adds no telemetry or network calls. AI reasoning happens in your existing Codex or Claude Code session, so repository and conversation data handling follows that product's settings and policies.
